Waves of Redemption

Waves of Redemption

by Behnaz Rouhandeh

The work is based on a folktale about a woman thrown into the sea for disobedience and sea creatures eating her body. One day, she accidentally gets caught in a fishing net, which terrifies the fisherman and then brings her back to life. The main message of the story is about the power of compassion, vulnerability, and the ability to face the fears or "skeletons" of our lives. It is a healing story, where the fisherman's act of kindness and acceptance gives new life to something broken, highlighting themes of love, redemption, and the importance of accepting the depths of our feelings.
