Lucid Dreams

Lucid Dreams

by Francis T. Torres

In a world of shadows and dancing light, I find myself suspended, between real and distant sight. Where dreams are woven and spun, And every drop of dew reflects worlds unknown, one by one. The bare trees stand as silent witnesses, To my deep, mysterious and curious thoughts, as if in stillness. I stand at the crossroads of real and marvelous, Where lucid dreams reveal precious secrets, so wondrous. Here, where gravity has no hold, My thoughts and desires can unfold. I am a traveler in this ethereal realm, Where every moment is a sincere mystery at the helm. It's a place where I can be whoever I want to be, Where I can do whatever I want to do, and be free. It's a place where I can dream while awake, And find my true self, my being, my soul's sake. It's a place where lucid dreams take me to unknown lands, Where I can explore what I've always wanted, with my own hands. It's a place where I can be free, And find the happiness that's always eluded me.
